Client Manager (Paraplanner):

We are looking for a Client Manager (Paraplanner) to join our expanding business.  As you will quite often be the first point of contact, you must possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills in order to deliver the best customer service to our clients.

To succeed in this role you will have day to day responsibility for our clients and will be expected to proactively manage and build relationships with them, whilst providing support for key areas of the financial planning process including:

  • Tax planning: ISA and pension contributions, CGT planning
  • Investment planning
  • Retirement planning
  • Estate planning

To achieve this, you will:

  • Prepare and attend client meetings alongside the Financial Planner and produce meeting notes which accurately reflect the information gathered in order to fully document a client’s financial needs and objectives
  • Compile suitability reports
  • Undertake support duties to the Financial Planner in order to effectively service the client in a “fair and ethical” manner
  • Maintain an ongoing relationship with the clients, keeping them informed, answering queries and arranging review meetings where appropriate
  • Complete regular reviews of clients’ portfolios to support the ongoing client relationship, including maintaining a client file review system to regularly assess client holdings and changing financial priorities
  • Effectively use research and planning systems and platforms such as FE Analytics, Selectapension, CashCalc, AJ Bell Investcentre, Aegon (ex Cofunds)
  • Be responsible for ensuring that recommendations are fully implemented in a timely manner and to the right quality
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the industry, compliance and regulatory developments
  • Develop productive working relationships with colleagues and clients throughout the financial services environment, both within and outside of Jones Cooper Wealth Management Limited

Essential Requirements:

  • Demonstrable experience (10 years’ minimum) in a paraplanning, or similar, role
  • Financial Planning Diploma
  • Proficiency in Microsoft products eg Word, Outlook, Excel, Powerpoint
  • Demonstrable knowledge of, and proficiency in, FE Analytics, Selectapension, CashCalc, AJ Bell Investcentre, Aegon (ex Cofunds) or similar

Desired Requirements:

  • Chartered Financial Planning qualified/part qualified
